Cloudiness is not a quality indicator. Filtration can help preserve quality during storage by removing water and solid particles from the oil. With unfiltered oil, pay special attention to freshness and storage conditions.

Look for filtration information and the producer’s storage recommendations; do not judge by appearance alone.
